IAPSM Logo & Motto
The
IAPSM Logo:
Set in a circular design, the IAPSM logo
has two snakes – inter-twined around a pole bearing the
lotus flower with map of India in the background. The two
snakes signify the power of healing according to ancient
Greek literature. The Lotus flower ( “ kamal” in
Hindi) represents happiness and good health. The map of
India, of course, signifies the pan- India Character of the
Association.
The Motto
of IAPSM:
It is “Swasthyam Sarvebhya” which
means “Health for All” .That is the ultimate goal of IAPSM
and is in sync with the global goal.
This IAPSM logo and motto were
designed in 1982-83 by Dr. Bir Singh ( the current Secretary
General of the Association.). He won in an All India
Competition that was organized by IAPSM for designing the
logo.
